NEMA lines

Now that SW version 5.14 is working, I am wondering which autopilots will take a feed from the IFly700. Could we get a list of the ones that are already working with the IFly? What are the basic steps to get the autopilot to read the NEMA lines of the IFly?

Works with my serial input Trutrak ADI Pilot II (4800 bps, 'extended' mode on the IFly).
Both AP and IFly must be set for the same speed (4800 or 9600). I think that's all that's needed.

Desert Flyer,

It should work with any autopilot that accepts an NMEA serial feed (RS232 serial, that is). First thing you will need to do is purchase a USB to Serial cable from our online store. Make sure you have the latest iFly software. Plug in the cable, and touch Menu / Settings / NMEA Output / and select "Standard". This will begin sending basic route and course data to your serial cable at 4800 baud. Pin 3 on this cable is the data feed.

You will need to consult with your autopilot documentation as to how that particular unit accepts the NMEA feed.

Caveat: This is a handheld GPS and should not be plugged into a certified aircraft system.

Hi Roger,

attempting to connect my Digi-Trak A/P to Ifly720 not sure if I'm having serial cable problems.Assuming the Tru-Trak settings for all A/P are same, Can you advise Nema settings and are you able to connect AP on the ground. On the Digi-Trak I get an indication when a GPS signal has been received. Any suggestions.
