gps isn't going anywhere. it isn't being abandonded.

efb is for mobile devices moving forward. we built it from the ground up, and doing it the way we are means it is orders of magnitude easier to fix the wac issue.

i don't know when it will be fixed in GPS, as it is heavily embedded in the code.

not sure yet. as of right now it's only working on our internal testbed units so far.

Is it time to discontinue inclusion of WACs in IFly? WAC data is grossly out of date, resulting in the display of many decommissioned VORs and Victor airways when zoomed out. This is becoming increasingly divergent with progressive implementation of the MON. I know it is possible to force display of Sectional charts, but at some zoom level the WAC display returns without options. Personally, I think the usefulness of the WAC display for zoomed out display is greatly overridden by the inconvenience of displaying inaccurate information. Most other Android EFBs do not display WAC data.

Although I haven't tried it yet, it is apparently possible to de-select WACs in Menu > Check for Updates > Advanced Options. If there are no WACs, iFly can't display them. And therefore I'd expect it to display Sectionals or TACs instead.
