Martin,

On your 740b tablet, try loading a flight plan or just pick an airport and fly direct to.     If the 740b is wired correctly to your auto-pilot, it should show signs of activity.  Let us know what happens.

I think this is what I had to do to verify connection to my Trio Ez-Pilot.

Steve

Hi Steve, I tried entering a direct to an airport to see if the 740 would send any NMEA data to the A/P or the D10A. Well no luck still no GPS inforamtion coming out of the 740 that I can see. If you look at the attachment serial port management has three selection 1) do not use, 2) Auto detect 3) GPS default . These selections are not selectable by the user. I was thinking if they were the GPS default selection might solve this problem. Tech suport could not answer this question so they said send it back and they will investigate.

Is the Trutrack by any chance sending data over the serial port too?  iFly can get confused as to what device is connected when it starts receiving.  For my set up (different autopilot), I had to ensure that only the iFlt Tx to Autopilot Rx and grounds were connectes, when the Tx/Rx wires were connected in both directions (full null modem) it did not work.

I am sure they are but will have to double check RX/TX to be sure. The 740 and the A/P are both connected to the aircraft ground. I don't think the TruTrak is sending anything data to the serial port.
