Mike is assuming you are using a Stratux.  Then yes, add the $15 AHRS module to make the AHRS function of iFly work properly.  Otherwise, it is very limited when it comes to pitch and bank.  It is only showing a simulation based on GPS change in track.

Great useful info Micheal! Thanks!

As for " For the $15 upgrade and easy installation, a person can have the full capability of pitch, yaw and roll axis info (acting with the GPS).":

Hey! What's this! How come I didn't hear about this. Sounds too good to be true! Is this a hardware or software install with the iFly?

Please point me to it.

Alex

P.S., Now if we can require the deer and elk near that successionally wander onto the runways to wear ADS-B the SV can show them too. wink

iFly now has the capability.  For it to actually work, you need this if you are using a Stratux:

Thought it was  too good to be true. But  buying an assembled Stratux with the AHRS module at under $300 total is , in terms of the functionality and situational awareness added really an awesome cost benefit option considering what one would have to invest in certified avionics and training to "buy" similar capability.

Or buy the parts from Amazon and assemble your Statux yourself.  I built 8 or 10 of them and sold them on eBay.
