Blake, I've had the same issue in the past. It worked at one point, then it didn't work after a Stratux upgrade. ErgonomicMike was kind enough to test an identical build and it worked fine for him and we never determined what the (my) problem was, but after another Stratux upgrade or two it worked again. At one point about an hour after an unsuccessful plan sharing attempt in flight, the 740 suddenly asked if I wanted to accept an incoming plan. I haven't tried it since I switched my Stratux build to a Pi 3, but I'm reasonably confident the problem is with Stratux's wifi setup and not iFly.

Attached are some screen shots of the Stratux version Im using. What versions are other people having success with or not having success with Flight Plan Sharing?

A a normal Wi-Fi network, the Flight Plan sharing works just fine.

I just upgraded to v0.8r2 and still no Flight Plan Sharing. On my home net work Wi-Fi it still works just fine.

Please help.

I received the following from Steve at Flightbox.

Blake,

Hmm... I'm afraid I don't know anything about the iFly flight plan sharing feature. Presumably this is a way of moving a flight plan from one iFly to another? Please open a ticket with the iFly team and I will be happy to work with them to resolve it.
Thanks,
Steve

This weekend I tested file sharing in flight using a Pi3 and Stratux 8.2 with a newer .sh update (not sure which one; it's still in the plane). I was able to share plans between my Android tablet and my Android phone, in both directions, without issue.

When I had the problem before, I could switch out my EdiMAX wifi dongle on the Stratux for a different brand dongle (TP-Link), and flight plan sharing would work without any other changes. No one else at that time reported having the same issue, so no one really looked into it. Switching dongles was my "fix". Looks like you have fallen into the same sinkhole I was in.
