You know you have to be in the air to receive ADS-B traffic and weather?

Also, make sure on the iFly 720, you have it set to listen to the NavWorx. Once the wifi is connected, open up the iFly GPS app and touch Menu, About, Connected Device and set the Select Wireless Device to NavWorx. You should see some data start showing on the screen. If you don't see and heartbeats within about 30 seconds, try using the iLevil option, but not the Levil AHRS.

As for the 520, you just need to connect the USB and then power on the NavWorx and iFly520, it should auto establish after about 30 seconds. If not, give our support team a call as there may be a firmware update to help resolve this.

Not necessarily.

If a tower is close or on the field I get ttraffic while on the ground. I have not checked out weather.

As an example when I am on the ground at Flabob Airport I can see the traffic both on the ground and in the air at Riverside Municipal which is about 3 miles south.

I am still dealing with the intermittent "No Heartbeat" issue.

I will use the WiFi Analyzer app I downloaded for my SAndroid usit to see if the heartbeat issue is Navworx, IFLY or Android issue.

Roger:

I am using Navworx to IFLY via WiFi. I can see the Navworx wifi signal is strong throughout my flight, but IFLY will occasionally act like the signal is lost when I can see that it isn;t.

Since you are using both RS232 and WiFi are you seeing dropouts (no heartbeat) with WiFi, but not with RS232?

Also what type aircraft?

We fly experimental types and the electrical interference can be affecting the signal to my Android tablet/phone.

I have navworx 600B wired (rs232) to Grand Rapids EFIS, and wireless to the 740. Just flew from Tucson, AZ to Orcas Island in northern Washington. This in an RV7.

I noticed many times when the 740 reported tower not active (but not sure if that was the actual wording). It never reported 'no heartbeat'. I also know that during those times, the GRT did not report any loss of signal. I don't know what this means. Maybe GRT isn't programmed to report loss of signal.

For better or worse, I find myself looking much more at the GRT display for traffic.

I'll try to pay more attention on my return flight and compare the two. I do know that the traffic altitudes displayed are different.

Update: Discovered CRC error rate of 33-44% on return flight. I've emailed Navworx.
