Has the NavWorx ADSB unit been looked at for compatibility with the iFly? This is a mounted (not portable) ADSB in/out unit that was just certified. It looks to work off any existing mode C transponder. A WiFi module is available for the unit.
Looks interesting...

Works well. I'm currently using both wired and wifi connections. Wifi to the iFly works fine.

Good to know. Now that they have TSO and STC certification for production aircraft, I am interested. Oshkosh pricing is starts at $2400, so all said and done it looks like this could be installed for about $3,000 +/- depending on wiring to displays cost (and me doing most of the labor). Since it looks like it would support 2 devices via WiFi, I would look to use it with the iFly and maybe an iPad as a second screen. From what I see, this is all that would be needed to support the 2020 ADSB Mandate.

OK, I was corrected on the CPA site, someone close to NavWorx reported that the flyer posted on their website was for Oshkosh last year. The pre-pricing for the ADS600-BG ended August Last Year (small print was hard to read) Typical with a small company trying to keep their website up to date.
I am still thinking of putting this in my C-182 this year, and my Grumman Yankee down the road. This minimizes the number of wires run around the cockpit, meets the 2020 mandate, and utilizes the current Mode C hardware. It has been reported here that this works fine with the iFly720. How about with the iFly iPad app? I would like to purchase an iPad to add as a second screen.

Rich,

Yes, the ADS-600B and BG do work with the iFly 720 and the iPad App. You'd just need to make sure the NavWorx has the Wi-Fi module upgrade. We've tested it here and all work nicely. When you get the iPad, you can add the $19.99 Multi-Platform option and use both the iFly 720 and iPad on the same subscription. Hope this helps and have a great July 4th Weekend.
