Update : I downloaded and installed the system software today. Double checked all the settings - and still no traffic display on the 740. I have been an IFly owner and user for 10 years and ADSB user for two years. I know the system and software pretty well.  I think it may be time to send the GPS in for inspection/repair. Clearly there is something wrong.

In case you haven't found them yet--there's an ADSB Status instrument that, if turned on, ought to let you know whether the 740 is receiving data. You can also look at Menu > Setup > ADS/B to see the status. The Options menu there has a Reset / Reconnect button that I've found useful. And that's also where you Enable ADS-B Logger.

Oh crap. I screwed up and wasted everyone's time. My problem (including, but not limited to stupidity) was that I forgot about the "Traffic" check box on the Map mode screen. Flogging myself now.....

That's happened to me a lot more than once.

I've often wished for "permanent" master settings--a single list hidden away in Settings that would be the default every time iFly starts up. Then I could experiment and make temporary changes without having to remember what I changed, to get it back to where it was before I started to experiment.
