We recently had this new transponder installed for ADS-B in and out. Love the traffic and weather in the cockpit. It does allow for bluetooth pairing of PEDs and mentions compatibility with Garmin Pilot (surprise!) and Foreflight. Does it, or are there plans to make it, communicate with iFly?

Good question. I checked for this on a flight this past weekend. The GPS feed from FlightStream is read by iFly (at least on the iPad); the ADS-B and AHRS feeds are not. I was also wondering what it took to add it to IFly, My guess it's subject to the same issues as the earlier attempt to read Stratus (not Stratux) – a proprietary output.

I've spoken to Gamin about compatibility multiple times and every time they have, in so many words, told me to "go pound sand."  They are not interested in supporting any other 3rd party apps and already hold 80% of the market.

We would love to be able to take that information in but it's not in the cards right now.

Apparently, FltPlan.com has been able to do it in its free Go! EFB. It may be because of FltPlan's large presence in the corporate and small 135 market.
