Gents,

Asking a Q for a good buddy who does not like getting on computers or blogs, so bear with me if I don't get it exactly right or if this has been answered already...

A friend has the IFly 540 (or is it 520?) in his RV.

He is wanting to know if this device will be able to get synthetic vision if he buys the Stratux ADSB IN device through the store here?

I simply do not know if this is a stand-alone legacy system with/ without the ability to pick-up WiFi....

However, I KNOW many of you can answer this for me (and him).  Thank you in advance for answering the specific following questions:

1. Will this legacy system work with Stratux to get ADSB IN?

2. If so, are there any upgrades or actions he needs to take to make it so?

3. If not, what is the best option to replace what he has with something from IFly that is about the same size and would fit on this panel? (I will attempt to place the photo in this post)

Folks, thank you for helping my friend here in Central PA with this Q. He sees a lot of photos I am posting on our flying club (Keystone Flight) website and highly desires both traffic and SV for his RV which is being built now.

Regards, Mike, N714AJ

Mike, I think the SV only works on the 740 and 740b.  It seems I saw a Walter post that said that a few weeks past.

In addition, I think I remember that the 540 does not have WiFi.  You'd have to ask the Stratux folks if it's possible to send the data via USB cable.

Here it is a week later an no iPad 3D software available. I wonder what is taking Apple so long to get it released? Any news?

iFly 10.2.74 was approved by Apple, and is now released for everybody.  Apple tends to "trickle" these releases out, so your App Store may still take a few hours to show the new version.  But, it's approved & fully released, so now we just wait for their servers to propagate the new version.

Answers to questions on this thread:

- Documentation will be updated on our site this week.

- Once you have 10.2 installed, Touch Map Mode -> EFIS to enable the new 3D view.  Touch anywhere within the 3D panel to open more settings and options for this view

- John: The app should not crash.  If it does that again, please restart the app and touch Menu -> About -> Send Bug Report, this will email us a log file and help us figure out what went wrong.  Also please let us know when you send that email.

- Mike: Synthetic Version will work on most tablets and phones, and on the iFly 740 and 740b...but will not work on 720, 700, or 520 models.  At the 740b price of $599, I suggest your buddy upgrade to that model.
