Just used 7.0.18 for 18 hours round trip from Tucson to OSH. This is now a great product. Thanks for the tremendous customer support and responsiveness.

I have two comments:

1. After an overnight, the 720 could not get a GPS lock at startup. After a reboot did not help, I did a 'warm start' in the gps diagnostics area and then it found the satellites. This delayed my trip by 1/2 an hour or so, but it happened only once during the entire trip so I chalk this up to something other than an issue with the 720.

2. I configured the 720 for Navworx ADS-B weather for the return trip. I found myself wanting to look ahead for METARS at distant airports. The way I did this took too many button pushes: Find Airport; Modify Search; Show on Map; More Info; Weather. This is a very small gripe, but is there another way to do this?

Hi Roger, the traditional way to look ahead for metars is to switch to Weather mode (Mode / Weather). Then pan along your flight path. You will have visual representations of the metars, and simply touching the screen will pop the weather report nearest your touch point.

Thanks,

Walter
