This was my FIRST use of adsb for a weather decision - this one was easy - NO GO to KRVL, Mifflin County from Carlisle, PA (N94).

I decided to just get a better look at the adsb compared to the visual sight picture...it was interesting to compare.

Yes, I made sure I was a good 20 miles away from any hail or lightning...

Thanks to all the designers and suppliers or IFly and STRATUX to help pilots like us make good decisions about weather while flying cross country - keeps us out of trouble!

When I started flying general aviation in the 1970's, this was pure fantasy - now it could be in every cockpit for very low cost!

OK, so this is me ON THE GROUND looking at the weather I COULD HAVE flown into if not for very good SA on the route - love it and will always have it ready from now on.  THANK YOU IFLY!

Nice Demo.

Good to remember that the weather display can be as much as 15 minutes late and these storms move fast. I hear that XM weather is more current.

On another unrelated topic: Have you ever landed at Jimmy Stewart Field at my old hometown of Indiana, Pa?
