Geographic Databases

While doing my updates today, I noticed

Geographic Databases (water features, terrain, etc)
New databases available as of: 7/19/2012

However, the site wouldn't allow me to make an update file of just this selection. Is there a reason why the Geographic Databases cannot be updated alone? I have already updated to v7.xx.x, I did that back in June or so.

I thought I remembered someone saying that the Geographic Database was static and would rarely change and was surprised to see a new database with the old one barely a month old. I also simply combined it with another file so I could download it. I presumed everyone would have been running the v7 software by now and needing it to be a combined update was a simple oversight.
