Did you also know there are SEVERAL airports that straddle both the USA and CANADA?...
We are planning a trip to NIAGARA FALLS (seeing it from the sky) and will go into Canadian Airspace for a small bit - there is actually special airspace for this...THANKS CANDADA!
The only one I know of is 48Y, and that's just because a Canadian Searey builder heading home to Winnipeg had an engine failure on final and landed short--in the USA. The FAA called it an incident, but was not helpful at all and held the guy up there for several days with red tape. He said that if he had done it in Canada, going south, it wouldn't have been a problem at all.
I've had only good experiences flying in Canada (except for Transport Canada not recognizing BasicMed yet). Coming back into the US, on the other hand, has been less pleasant. In my best experiences with US customs they've been officious, but one time six big guys showed up at the airport in a big black SUV, wearing in black uniforms with black semi-auto pistols (looked like Glocks) in big black holsters. They were 40 minutes late--you aren't allowed to get out of the aircraft until Customs permits you to, and we had to pee like crazy. They inspected every nook and cranny of the little Searey, looking for who knows what and seemed disappointed not to find any contraband. They did not smile. They acted as though the grey-haired occupants were criminals and interrogated us for about half an hour. Finally they got back into their big black SUV and drove away. All six of them. And their big black semi-auto pistols. We finally got to pee.
I hope you get the chatty little grandmother who met me another time. She was officious, but pleasant about it. She was armed, but didn't flash it around. Those were before e-apis, though, so chances are you'll have a better experience.
