I just bought an RV-6A (because my buddy sold the -8A and -10 I helped build!) ----- anyway, the -6A I bought has a very "old" panel. You have given me some great ideas on how to spend the wife's retirement savings!

Sam, I definitely like the portrait mode! Even built my panel around a portrait install. The additional forward looking info is appreciated in an RV. My only criticism is the keyboard for entry of specific search info is small. I've mentioned this to Shane and I believe it is on the future update list.

I have been using my 700 in vertical mode. It fits better on the yoke and I like to see more of where I'm going rather than what's on either side of me. No glitches so far despite the warning. I do have to reboot to switch between vertical and horizontal and as you know that takes some time. Also, it takes some finessing to find room for the digital displays. I use a stylus for the keyboard.
