Hello All (this was previously posted under the beta section....looking for feedback)

ADS-B traffic finally came alive as I was crossing the busy PA - NY corridor yesterday. The first thing I noticed was the popup warning box which was great. As it turned out there were 4 targets I was being warned about. After reading each warning I tried monitoring the traffic visually on the iFly.

Here's the problem.....

I had the unit in landscape mode. This places my aircraft icon pretty low on the screen (as I'm heading NE). So any of the traffic SW of me wasn't visible unless I drag and move the screen to center my aircraft (most were under buttons). While this works, it doesn't seem very intuitive. Also, the targets are hard to see (red outlined triangles).

So, just in case you AP guys need any more programming requests......Is it possible to have a traffic screen that would center your plane and have distance circles (just like they do on the Garmin 530)? No need for a moving map, etc. just a black screen with white distance circles and targets that illuminated based on threat level (white, yellow, red).

You could activate / deactivate the traffic screen with one button. The button would only pop up if traffic is present. The traffic page would only need one button to return to your previous screen. There are many options....it could be nice to have the traffic screen kick in if traffic is within a certain user defined range, etc.

As always......thanks for a wonderful product.

Dave

Great idea.

I think there might be a couple of other items that might be useful on a dedicated traffic screen. For example, when looking at traffic I'd like the course arrow from my plane to be variable length consistent with the course line of the displayed traffic. That is, if the traffic course line shows a projected movement in one minute, then I'd like the course line of my plane to also be a length reflecting projected movement of one minute. On other screens I would not be interested in the "one minute" projection of my course line.

I'd also like altitude, climb/desc, and speed info displayed next to the respective target to minimize the need to look at and page through alert messages.

As Dave said - thanks for a great product!

Dick
