Has anyone been able to update with their droid or iphone? If I could figure it out it would be nice to get a last minute update before takeoff. My phone has a detachable micro SD card that I could use with USB adapter but I can't get it to download the .zip file.

I'd love this too. My blackberry has a USB cord I wonder if I could save the METARS and TFRs to the internal SD card and access it through the iFly.

I think that the settings are in this website because I can download stuff from other sites. Another site that I frequent initially didn't work for android phones but the web master found the problem and made a change that fixed it. When I plug the phone into the computer it acts like it is another drive and reads the phone memory so I think once I figure the download issue out it will work.

That's what I expected. But the question is, if you've downloaded to your phone and only have your phone with you (say you are during preflight), can you plug the phone into the iFly and have it treat iSD card with the file like the jump drive. This way, you could have all the TFRs and METARS really up to date when you depart.

If I can get the .zip file onto my phone I'll be able to find out. But so far I cannot get it to download. I also have an adapter that holds the microSD card and plugs into a usb port and I know it will work that way. So the worst case for me would be Download file to phone, turn off phone and remove sd card and use adapter to install on the GPS. Though it would be pretty sweet to just plug in phone to GPS and DL file and update through phone. That way when on vacation all I would need is a 3g signal not an open wifi and computer to update.
