Walter,

I would like to see a jet transport plan form icon, similar to ForeFlight, for use with IFLY GPS Ipad app. My company's training department has GPS antennas installed in their simulators. The GPS positional data of the simulator is fed to the antenna and, as an instructor, I am able to Bluetooth link to the antenna and see the simulator's position in real time during the training in the airspace being used. The trainee pilots have the Company approved EFB but as of yet can not use the GPS positional data. Several instructors, however, use various apps to monitor the approaches during instruction along with console data displays. I sometimes use the IFLY GPS app and I would like to have such an icon.

I also use IFLY GPS in my personal aircraft and use the high wing Icon.

Jerry

Hi Jerry, is there a link or image you can send similar to the icon you're wanting?

Thanks,
Walter

Sorry Walter for the delayed response. I have been very busy.

I do not have a link to an ICON. However, I am looking for an icon that resembles a swept wing transport. Think Boeing 737.

This is what I have in mind. I just don't have the resources to find a link to such an ICON.

Walter, I understand full well that all things are easy to he who does not have to do them, but :

For both airplane profiles and icons, I think it is your long-term best interest to open them up to user contributions and create an as-is, where-is library that allows users to contribute and to download what they'd like. Then you are out of the custom icon business and have a couple of features that further contribute to a sense of user community.

By the way, have you considered a tortoise or maybe a snail? Either would be suitable for a couple of airplanes that I fly . :-)

We are working on adding IFR Hi-Altitude Charts and some other features to entice Turbine Pilots in the future. I'll work up a Jet icon for Walter and we'll get that added in shortly. Good feedback. We added the multi-engine, but it shows not have swept wings. Thanks again and look for it soon.
