My last few flights have taken me to areas with several types of airspace. The "Set Altitudes" option of the flight plan screen is a huge help in knowing what's in the way, and what altitudes will avoid them. Each type of airspace has a seperate color, but there's no wasy way I can find to tell me which is Restricted, which is Alert, etc. A color legend at the bottom would be very helpful, or a button that pops up a legend. A related feature would be the ability to tap on the airspace to get the description.

Thanks for considering!

Jeff

Jeff,

This is on our wish-list. I had a thought as well. We could put labels in the Vertical Profile (Full Page) and possible on the Vector Mode calling out Class B, TFR, etc. Just a very subtle on screen label over even a small window that would show you what type of airpsace you are in and possible type touched. Hope this helps. Thanks for the great feedback.

Thanks guys for responding. As long as you're considering screen changes on the main screens, here's a thought I had this weekend. I know I should put it in a seperate thread, but since I've already got your attention...

Most of my cross-country VFR flying is spent flipping between the vector screen and the weather screen. Yesterday I was told to remain outside class B at both Orlando and Atlanta. Since the vector map is so "clean", it would be nice if it could show just the floor of the class B for each slice. The portion over the airport that goes from sfc to ceiling could show just the top altitude, since it's the same for the whole class B. This method would save me from having to either tap 3 times per slice to get the info from the vector screen (1st tap gets menu; 2nd tap selects airspace info; 3rd tap closes the window), or switch to the sectional/TAC and finding the numbers hidden among the clutter. Having the floors on the vector screen would vastly reduce my head-down time and increase my situational awareness.

Thanks for such a great product.
