How about simply remembering the last zoom level in plates, the same as it now remembers the last instruments layout?

Thanks Guys - after a little fiddling it works well. Having an auto zoom (or remembered zoom level) would top it off!

This is what it currently slated for the Plates Zoom behavior for Portrait mode. It will have a default or initial Zoom level, then it will open in the last zoom level going forward for that Plate. We will look at improving or tweaking that initial Zoom for Portrait Mode.
