Here's another idea.

An automatic zoom feature that would, when the destination airport got within a certain user definable distance, bring the aircraft icon and the airport together in the center of the screen. Once the plane is detected to be on the airport surface, at a taxi speed, it would switch to the airport diagram/taxi chart. On departure it would switch from the taxi chart to sectional at the airport boundry and flying speed.

This would indeed be very nice.

Great feedback on this thread. Auto Modes or Switches can be tricky. We are talking internally about the ability to basically switch to Airport Diagram upon Landing or Taxi. We don't want to automatically switch to a Plate. We've discussed the possibility of poping a "Airport Diagram" button or message upon short final or once on the ground and under 15kts to possible swich to the Airport Diagram if one is available.

We are also looking at options to add more airport diagrams, so that more of the smaller airports would have diagrams as well. Thanks for your feedback and we have this Auto-Zone and Auto Diagram on the wishlist.
