I can't find (if it's there) an easy way to find the nearest ARTCC frequency to pick up Flight Following or to monitor. I do a lot of VFR by just monitoring ARTCC just in case I need help. Brand "G" has a look up for it on their "Nearest" page. I wind up having my wife look it up on her G196. Am I missing it or can it be added to the "Wish List" ideas?

Can't you just look at a nearby airport for the list of frequencies? They usually include app/departure and/or ARTCC frequencies, I believe.

I think Roger's response is a good one. If you didn't have an iFly but wanted to call ATC, you'd pick up your green A/FD and look up a nearby airport for the info. The iFly makes that simpler by allowing you to touch a nearby airport on the moving map and get the same info much more quickly.

Absolutely, I do the same. We do have adding the CTAF (Tower, Unicom, Etc) frequency to the Nearest Airport list. Basically, when you touch Find Airport, you get a list of the nearest airpots. We want to add Frequencies and Runway types and length to this page. This way when you touch Find Airports, you can see all the Com frequencies to monitor and you have runway details in the event of an emergecy.

We are working on our database structure to efficently pull this for a future release. Stay tuned, we are working on it.

Yes that can be done, it just seemed easier the other way. Out here in northern AZ airports are few and far between so it may take a couple of trys to find a good frequency, It was just a thought though. I can't wait for the terrain warning. Night time out here is basically IFR on a moonless night. The terrain warning will be nice.
