It would be helpful if the distance circles were customizable vs. auto scaling depending on the zoom level. I have to remain off of airways during aerobatics (w/o a waiver) and having rings/circles of 4nm would make that an easier task when overlaid on the enroute charts.

Yes - I'd still like to have a circle with a 300 nm radius so that I can "look around" for my next fuel stop while flight planning. - Jim Williams

There is currently a 250nm ring now when you zoom out. Maybe your looking for something like the current set with an option for one user define (Refuel/Custom Ring). I'll put this on the wish-list as Customizeable Distance Rings / Fuel Stop ring.... We also have custom or user defined airspace or area on the wishlist as well. Keep the good feedback coming. We continually add to the wishlist and monitor demand picking some off each release.

Shane - Thanks for your quick reply. Is the customized ring in version 7? I just looked at my version 6.5.10 and don't see it. What I would like is a ring with a ccustomized radius and then the ability to move this ring to various places while flight planning. For instance: I'm planning a flight from Salt Lake City to Richmond, Va. in my Cessna 172. I put in my departing and destination airport ID's and the iFly draws the great circle route. I then put my 'fuel circle' on the map centered at Salt Lake City. Following my route line till I get to the 'fuel circle' I see that Laramie, Wy. would be a good place to stop for fuel. I then 'rubber band' my route line to LAR. Then I center my 'fuel circle' over LAR. Following my route line again to the edge of the new circle, I then chose North Platte, Nb. for my next fuel stop. And so on till I get to Richmond. - Jim Williams

Jim,

You can basically do that with the 250nm ring now by zooming out, then add a waypoint at the intersection of the route line and 250nm ring. The iFly will pop a list of optional airports, fixes, etc when you drag to that point or touch to add waypoint. You can then zoom in close and rubberband to a differerent airport in that area if you like.

Sorry if you misunderstood, it's on the WishList. There are Distance Rings in V7 (1nm, 2nm, 5nm, 10nm, 50nm, 100nm and 250nm visible at various zoom levels) but not a custom distance option. Your Fuel Ring description is what I picture as well.
