I generally leave my 700 securely mounted in the plane and bring my updates to the aiport on memory stick. Works well other than that I have to remember or guess what charts etc. were expired.

It would (i) be nice if there was a way to put the stick in the 700 and download to it a list of expired charts from the unit to take home and (ii) really nice if I could upload that file to the AP website when performing an update to automatically 'pre-select' updates files needed.

We are working on a simplfied, more automated update process for the iFly 700. Basically a computer based version of what the new iFly 720 has. Keep an eye out for this in the near future. No set time for it, just thought you'd like to know there is a light at the end.

Yes, that is basically what it will be. You would be able to remove and insert the SD card into your PC, and click an Update Program that will update it. We will also allow user defined presets or defaults you can set as well. Basically if you only want to update your state or region, etc.
