We've talked a lot about this with Avidyne and that's on our short list after EFB!

Great to hear that, thank you, look forward to it!

A couple more questions.  Any idea if flight plan course lines (and syn vision) could be made to show curves rather than straight angles at course change points?  Perhaps based on ground speed or a preset approach speed in the setup menu, if that format is not available with the flight plan import?  Could holding patterns and course reversals be depicted?

Quoting myself with another question.  If the Avidyne flight plan transfer feature is implemented, would there be any way to retain AHRS or would that disappear since the IFD 440/540s do not have AHRS capability?  We can only have one wifi connection at a time, correct?

The IFDs do have Bluetooth but AFAIK that is only for the remote keyboard.  Would be nice if iFly could use the Bluetooth connection on my tablet for auto flight plan transfer/sync from the IFD while using the iLevil 3 AW for everything else.  Or maybe a wired connection to the iLevil from the IFD?

If all this could be worked out I think iFly could become a great inexpensive MFD choice for Avidyne owners especially when running on a bright tablet like the Tripltek 8 Pro.

I don't know the answer to your question, but worst-case, if you're using iFly on a tablet device, it's pretty quick and painless to switch which wi-fi network you're connected to.  For instance, you could program your flight plan on your tablet, connect to the Avidyne network and push it to the IFD, then connect back to your iLevel network for ADSB/AHRS connectivity as you fly.  Not as ideal as maintaining connectivity to both devices simo, but maybe better than giving one up entirely.

I think to make it workable, especially when using iFly as a supplement while flying busy IFR, the flight plan transfer would have to be done with, at the most, a "click to accept" button when flight plan changes are made on the IFD.  Perhaps this is asking too much.  But it sure would be nice.
