I'm using the Stratus3 and there is no way to set the calibration on the ground, it continously calibrates until sometime on the takeoff roll that is sort of OK, but not truly acceptable, in a tricycle gear aircraft but completely unacceptable in a tailwheel aircraft.

I've spoken to Appareo and they indicate calibration on the ground for actual pitch is built into the unit.

Now that the Stratus3 is open source and Android friendly some effort should be made by IFlyGPS to utilize all of it's functionality.

Doug,

Agree and now have this as part of my before takeoff checks...

It does take a little button-pushing to FIND the right option, but I did so and then put it into my checklist...once that is done, it is easy and will quickly become muscle-memory.

Agree it would be nice to have it as a option up front in the main menu under something like PRE-FLIGHT CHECKS or something obvious.

Still a pretty magnificent system here - light years ahead of anything I saw flying professionally for nearly 30 years in the last century.
