Fascinating, at a glance, it looks like possibly different font sizes in the airport names or different padding aroundthe typeset.

Well, I'll be.  I guess most airports around me are 2-line names.  I either never went to one-liners or didn't notice the wx freq being there at the time, assuming all QV displays were the same.

Maybe Brian can use a smaller font for the longer names, or just enlarge the QV window to accomodate.

(Bump)

I'd still very much like to see this addressed.  It doesn't seem like the size of the airport name oughta determine whether the weather freq is shown or not in the APT tab of the QuickView box.  Seems like a bug.

Thanks.

i had a similiar idea,  I like yours also.  Mine was to have a customized instrument.   about the size of the vsi or time.  doesn't need to be large.  but you could customize it to appear within x miles of an airport(either any enroute, /and/or an airport that is a waypoint/final destination in your configured flight plan).   have it alternate between atis/ctaf freq and only appear as you configure it(x miles of an airport.).   I find myself hitting the wrong buttons in flight and end up looking inside to find info when I should be looking outside.  it would work like the vsi as you approach the airport.
