???  Um, that would depend on how Brian implemented it, wouldn't it?  We already have instruments that do things when you touch them.  The Destination instrument brings up the QuickView for the destination airport...the EFIS instrument opens up the EFIS view...etc.  I think the OP is asking for an instrument called "Day/Night" that would just toggle between day and night modes.

Don't want that feature on the front page?  Don't add that instrument to your view.  Easy peasy.

No, he wants to be able to push a button to switch to night mode. Push again to switch to day mode. Now, if we can add the button or not, then I guess I don't care except it's just more unneeded programming and code we don't need.

Correct.
Make it available as a widget so I don't have to click 3 times to night mode.
Right now its MAP MODE => BRIGHTNESS => NIGHT MODE.
Just let me put a button in the "instrument customization" menu for "day/night" so it is just one tap.

I wasn't posting an opinion.  I was trying to address a misunderstanding.  The OP is suggesting a feature that would be completely invisible to anyone who didn't like it, because (if AP were to implement this) you would have to take action to add this new button to the screen...it would not be there unless you wanted it to be.
