I love my iFly but when I take my yearly hunting trip up north I'm in Terra Incognita the second I cross the Canadian border. No map, no terrain clearance and let me tell ya they got some pretty big hills up there. As I said I love my iFly and I certainly don't want to have to buy a second GPS (especially from the 'G' people in Olathe) but I may have to so that I can go international when I need to. Any of you guys on the east coast have problems in the Carribean?
No problem at all in the Bahamas and Carribean. In fact, I was even able to file an ICAO flight plan through iFly in Treasure Cay. Granted, terrain really isn't an issue there, as the sand dunes can't compare to Canadien Rockies!
We don't have Canadian sectionals, but we do have obstructions and terrain data. Switch to "Vector" mode - you should have the same level of terrain warnings you get in the US.
