Lol ok then, it's a non-AHRS that sends AHRS information to the AHRS display (exactly like an AHRS). Call it what you want, it sure sounds like an AHRS derived from GPS data.

After having watched this EAA video on how AHRS works under the covers, I don't think I'll be messing with the Stratux version. Stratux is just fine as a receiver, not as an attitude device.

I'd like synthetic vision as much as the enxt guy, but you guys have to aware of rhe MASSIVE data requirements to support it. Even if only the 9 meter sticks are used, we still talking hundreds of megabytes, even compressed. And that's just for CONUS. fortnuately updates are extremely rara but you still gotta download it the first time and your tablet has to be able to manage it (most can, but not all.) Like the sectional, the data will be a sliding window but you still have to account for the sheer volume of data and it's transfer rates in real-time.
