I'm sorry, but I have to ask, do you just fly around not knowing where you are or where you are going? These request seem to get more rediculous by the minute.

Hi Oldpilot - I usually have a destination in mine. But most of my flying are long cross countries - like from Utah to Georgia. Before I start out, I make out a flight plan with fuel stops every 250 to 300 nm. But, because of weather or other circumstances, quite often I will deviate from my original flight plan - sometimes in flight. I will look at a sectional, chose a new fuel stop or an over night stop, give FSS a call, amend my VFR flight plan, and divert to my new landing airport. I don't always see the states borders on the sectionals when I do this. OK, I do have another app that tells me which states recognize Utah's CCW permits. I just used this as an example of some of the types of information that might be helpful when landing at an unplanned airport. - Jim Williams

Thanks for the explanation, although I don't agree that IFly should try to incorporate all of this extraneous information. Again, to each his/her own. I'm just one customer of many.

Shane/Brian - Never mine. Playing with my tablet tonight, I see that the town and state are given in the airport information box. I've never noticed the state before. Your form is much better than Flight Guide. This will make my life easier! Thanks. - Jim Williams
