I am not advocating another "instrument" but could it be possible to display as you travel the UTC time at any given position along your route of travel either a LOC/UTC in the existing instrument or maybe in the quick view, It is easy to figure UTC at a known location, but as you travel specialy east/west/east not so easy, since you do not know wich Time Zone you are in.

An alternative would be to list the Time Zone = UTC - x of airports in the big Airport Information page, as I recall Flight Guide (or the AFD) does.

Hi Ciao - "display as you travel the UTC time at any given position along your route of travel either a LOC/UTC" - I'm sure you know that UTC time is UTC time no matter where you are on this planet. But you are right, flying east to west or west to east, it is easy to lose track of the current UTC time. Heck, I sometimes land and I don't even don't know which state I'm in. Tuning in a nearby VOR or ATIS will give the UTC, of course, but I would be in favor of an UTC instrument on our iFly GPS's. - Jim Williams

I'd just like it to show me what time zone I'm in - it's not easy to know when you cross from one to another. I often have to ask someone.

Thank you all, for enforcing my point one way or another, I do not think this is a frivolous demand, I would welcome it in ANY format, and maybe someone at Ifly will take it into consideration but, Maybe it is more complex than I know, to implement.

Ciao
