I figure I'm duplicating here, but I searched the forum for Scratch Pad and didn't find anything. (Oops. I didn't go back far enough in time. George broached the subject on 6/16/2014.)

A simple scratch pad layer to write ATIS Info "K" or Hdg/Alt assignment IFR?

Would have to be another Main button somewhere. (Now that we can pin Plates, and now that Plates keep their own history, perhaps History can be repurposed for this?)

I envision a simple Scratch pad. You click on the Scratch button. You made a simple note on a layer that doesn't move with the chart. The scratch button changes to "Clear" so that you can clear it after you've reached your hdg/alt or called in with the ATIS. Nothing crazy with multiple undo's or brush sizes or colors. Black should be just fine. (I guess White for Plates shown in Inverted Color.)

Scratch pad or draw on plates is on the wish list. I know it has moved up the list, especially not that we have Seamless and the new dynamic Plates behavior. Stay tuned on this one, it should not be long.

It would be cool to trace your taxi route on the Taxi Diagram or trace an approach or instructions directly on a plate or chart. Coming soon to an iFly in your plane.

I had thought about being able to trace your taxi route on the Airport Diagram too (which would auto clear after you go back to Map?. Or auotclear when you close iFly? (So that your scribbles aren't there next time.), but forgot to make a note of it to request it in the forum. And drawing in a tear drop entry with the course is what I did on the paper plates too.

Noted, I can't see that we would make those drawing retain for subsequent uses. We'll keep this in mind for that feature.

If you REALLY wanted to get fancy, then make it so there's a "snap to grid" type feature on the Runway Diagrams, so that when the controller says "Taxi to Rwy 4R, via B2, C4, D5" you could tap and leave dots on the Diagram that auto connect with line segments, aligned with the taxi ways. (Am thinking that would need a boatload of IA.)
