iFly GPS Forum

I have been using iFly GPS on several devices since it came out for Androids. Recently I saw the CAP GRID overlay feature on ForeFlight and would really appreciate having a similar feature in iFlyGPS. If I can get some information on how to add a chart layer to iFlyGPS, I would be happy to help develop something to help other CAP pilots with search and rescue / disaster relief missions. The grids are simple (based on sectional chart lat/long divisions), and having the grid pattern overlay is incredibly useful while making so many turns close to the ground. I really don't want to have to buy an iPad.

As a search and rescue team member of the Civil Air Patrol, I too would like the means to set up search grids on my iFly 740, iPad, and iPhone

It's on our wishlist. And now that we have gone seamless and do not have multiple charting projections, it's likely a much easier project. I'll re-visit this with Walter and Brian. We get a fair number of requests for this and it would help us to support Search and Rescue and CAP personnel.
