Too complex for who?

Not everyone flies only day VFR in la-di-dah airspace.

You need to have more confidence in the iFly team to know what's best for its product, and what functions and features are, and would be, of interest to its current and potential customer base. It's their business and livelihood; they would not want the app to become iFlew. Having this Forum, as well as participating in trade shows are good sounding boards. That means everyone will not always agree on the product's direction, and I wouldn't get bent out of shape over it.
