Selecting waypoints

When selecting waypoints in the Flight Plan window, it'd be nice if the "full text" search would automatically search the codes when it doesn't find a "full text" hit. This would be useful when I have several waypoints to enter and I know some codes and need full text on others. This way, I wouldn't have to switch back and forth on the type of search to do. As it is, KBTR (the code for Baton Rouge) is not found in a full text search. While we're on searches, it'd be nice to have a "sounds like" engine added to the search function. Because I will never know how to spell Albakerky or Nakadochez, and have to pick them off the map.

Jeff,

Agree, we actually have it on our development list to use a more intelligent search algorithm. Basically, to auto-populate a list of results by looking at Text and Code. Then actively adjusting the results as you type, essentially letting you narrow results down, and also letting you see if you are not going down the right track with the name or code.

This type of approach would help you with that spelling of Albuquerque, etc. as it would be looking at letters as you add them.

in coding the program, the soundex algorithm works very well for strange name selections.
