Those suggestions heavily overlap with this one. Had I noticed, I'd have chimmed in here.
I will flatter us all by saying "great minds think alike." ;-)

I would delete my threads added, except you may see, although largely echoing what's in this thread, the may add something of interest.

In particular, the suggestion for a realtime glide ratio readout instrument seems so simple that it could be added quickly while the subtlies of design of the Engine Out Glide distance feature are developed.
And it seems that one has stand-alone value whether or not the Engine Out Glide Distance feature is impemented.
