Needed: A fast way to create a flight plan at current location

I realize that I can create a custom waypoint at my plane's current location, THEN identify that waypoint as a point on a new flight plan.

I would like the ability to more quickly create a new flight plan with my plane's current location automatically assigned as the first waypoint on the flight plan.

When you touch a spot on the screen, then touch the Options button that appears, and select "Fly direct to here", it creates a flight plan with your current location as the starting point. You can then modify that flight plan just like any other.

Thanks for your useful suggestion, it addresses my request. Your plan works well but it still seems to require an additional step that MIGHT be avoided.
