I realize this unit is not on the list of compatible ADS-B receivers for display on an iFly, but I have one and I have a iFly 700. I was thinking of trying a USB/serial-RS232 converter in the USB port of the 700 and connecting to the RxA and TxA wires on the GDL 39 (I have the wire harness for it). The output of the GDL 39 is RS232 supposedly. Would this work? Asking before I try it.....

Dave,

We have reached out to Garmin in an effort to integrate with the GDL-39 and they said it would only support other Garmin product connections. I know WingX had also reached out to them but none such luck either. Looks like your GDL-39 is only good with other Garmin GPS units or their APP which is pricey. Sorry, I wish we could, but at this point, the ball is in their court.
