Maybe I haven't looked around the forum sight enough to find the answer but can a screen protector cover be used on the 720's screen without fear that it might create a problem later on when it has to be removed? I have one ready to size and cut if I get the go ahead. Thanks.

Diego: There has been discussion about screen protectors on the forum, and if memory serves me, the general responses by Walter and the AP staff have been that the iFly really does not need a screen protector. The screen surface is pretty hard. They even recommend using your finger nail on the bare screen (rather than the fleshly part of the finger tip) and even with all the heavy use their units get at AP as well as doing demos at airshows, the screen itself has demonstrated it can take this kind of heavy repeated use and does not scratch easily. The biggest issue with using a screen protector, I think, is whether or not it will affect your touchscreen sensitivity and responsiveness. Maybe some owners who are using screen protectors can report their experiences. ===Ralph

Ralph, that is pretty much the story for the iFly 700s; they have an ultra-tough anti-glare reflective coating so the covers don't add much. However the 720s can actually benefit from a cover, both for durability and to add additional anti-glare treatments. We've been experimenting with some products and will probably be adding something to the store. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks,

Walter

Thanks, Walter, for the correction and update. Since I upgraded my 700 to a 720 I'll be looking forward to seeing what you recommend. Regards, Ralph

Is it something different then the nushield that Shane and others have previously been recommending? It works well, but doesn't fit as it's more of a 7" generic size. Timming was required which was a pain. And I think it's adhesive because it will NOT peel up once placed.
