This weekend I flew from Houston to Lubbock and back. At least three times that I noticed, my 720 gave me the audible "Zzzing!" alert tone, as if I were approaching an airspace boundary or something, but when I looked at the screen there was neither a pop-up box nor an "Alert" button available to explain what the "Zzzing!" was for.

Will the iFly normally ring an audible alert without a corresponding display indication under certain settings? I didn't think that was possible, but maybe I've done it.

Has anyone else noticed this behavior?

What is the minimum time the "Alert" button will be visible on the screen? I also wonder if maybe the conditions for an alert were only met briefly, and by the time I looked down they were no longer in play, or else that the Alert button times out after some period if it's not selected.

It will give you a zing when it's time to start your descent into an airport in your flight plan - if it's part of your instrument stack the VST will also be shown.

Aha! I think that was probably the event. As i recall, it was near the end of the flights when it happened. Thank you!
