I have a 740 and a stratux now, for the IN portion, if I buy the Skybeacon that you advertise for sales for the OUT portion, will I be Legal?, will it work?

also will you be offering the "Tail light" version of it, because my wingtips are of the "flared" kind and it don't look like the sky beacon would work with them

thak you

Ciao

Yes, presuming the skyBeacon could be installed on your airplane - this would make you legal.  Do you have a pic of your current wingtip light?

It has been a few days since I posted the picture of my wingtip, but alas no replies so far.... I really would like an answer because, I would like to put my name in for a pre order on one or the other type, by the way I could not find the pre order form in the Shop either, so where do you do it, at the manufacturer ??.. they do take orders there.

thanks

I've done some beta testing for uAvionix and am certain the skyBeacon would not work for your plane since the nav light is recessed into the wingtip ... the skyBeacon requires an externally-mounted nav light.  The tailBeacon would work, however, and I "think" uAvionix is shooting for TSO certification very soon. (I know they want the skyBeacon TSO'd by AirVenture but am not certain about the timetable on the tailBeacon.)  A TSO certified tailBeacon will be "legal" with the FAA.

John
