Is there a way to "detune" the suction cup mount for the 740? I have to compliment iFly for using a material that is so tenacious, it almost seems this will not let go even without the cam lock. When I went to remove it from the window, it seemed to flex the plexiglass. As much as I appreciate the gripability of the material, I'd like to know if there's a reversible way to make it grip a little less tightly.

Is there no tab on one edge to pull and release the suction cup?

I just looked at my 740 suction mount (I've never used it) and it has a fairly large tab to pull on and release the suction.

Mine has the little tab, and even using that, and releasing the cam lock, the "rubber" still sticks to the plexiglass. I like that it holds so well, it's doubtful this will ever fall off when you don't want it to, but I fly a club aircraft and have to get this off after each flight. Something else I discovered, is that random stuff from my flight bag (dirt, lint, rocks, etc.) sticks to it. This stuff all rinsed off nicely with water, but didn't seem any to eager to come off by brushing with my hands without water. I'm going to try to make sure I re-attach it to the plastic film it was shipped with after each use.

If you release the cam lock, then pull the rubber tab, it will release. That's how all the good ones work. I have a Ram Mount for my iPad Mini 4 and it works exactly the same way.
