I have a Navworx ADS600-B connected to the iFly 740 for ADSB traffic and weather. I really like to presentation of traffic with the relative +/- indication. My question is what is being compared to derive the relative number - is it MSL or GPS altitude?

Thanks

Dick

Good question --- I have the 600EXP in my -6A and a quick glance at the traffic when I hear their (radio) reported altitude seems to be close to the difference I calculate from my MSL altitude. However, I know the Navworx is only getting pressure altitude, from the encoder. My GPS altitudes generally show about 200ft different from my MSL indicated altitude, when in cruise flight, so, for traffic avoidance, not too big of a deal.

Take care,

Ron
