on 720......after installing latest version( not beta)and chart updates I noticed the following :

a)The IFLY screen hangs for quite sometime finally gps map appears after the brightness level shows
b) The instrument settings I csll custom are notcremembered from previous shutdown ( I have to select custom each time I start using it )
c) If I select nearest airport and hit direct ...there is a lag and the nm ( nautical miles ) hangs then after a few seconds changes to updated distance from newly selected airport .

There us a definite lag in the system which is annoying . Unit appears sluggish !

Chad,

Thanks for sending this info in. (A) is about normal to what we are seeing, it takes about a minute to boot to the Map screen. We'll continue to try and get this reduced, but we are spending a bit more time prepping the software and databases to speed it up once inside the Navigation program. Unfortunately you are not seeing that speed up, which leads me to believe you did not get a clean update.

I've reported (b) and (c) to our development team and we will try and reproduce, but this is a new report that I know of.

I'd also recommend you contact our support team so they can walk you through how to force the iFly to redownload the software. It would be a quick call.

I can reproduce 'c' here, and have added it to my bug list. This'll be an easy one to fix, as it's just a logic bug (i.e. not triggering an update to flight plan stats in timely fashion).

As for 'b', I can't reproduce. I created new instrument group called 'Custom 2' and then restarted iFly , and it came back up in this mode (same as I left it). Are you changing Orientations between restarts? (a change in orientation *will* make it forget this setting, at times)

I have already reported b). It works just as Chas describes: A named setup, which is NOT loaded at startup, but strangely its button is already highlighted when viewing "Inst Group". It is activated when touched, but this has to be done each time. If this helps, these are the Layouts listed:

Basic, Extended, HSI, Blank, Szego (highlighted), Close.

I also get this same thing. Every time I start it up I have to reselect one of my custom instrument settings in order for it to display, even though when I touch the Instrument Group button, my custom group is already selected.
