Just recently attempted to calibrate my screen after some erroneous selections in flight and it never finished calibration - the cross hairs just continue to move around the screen in an endless loop after I touch them. Only way to leave the calibration screen is to unplug and reboot...???

Jonathan,

Did you happen to try calibrating the unit with your finger or a stylus? If a finger, try using a Stylus or Toothpick to calibrate it again. If that does not work, then give our support team a call at 888-200-5129. I hope this helps.

Hi Shane,

I used both a pen (with the point retracted) and my iPad stylus. I had it mounted in my panel, so my precision may not have been as required to complete the calibration. Last time I calibrated (long time ago) I did so while removed from the plane without issue. I'll try to remove the unit and let you know if I'm successful. Thanks for the quick service - as always!

For calibrating, you want a stylus with a sharp but SOFT tip!

A typical iPad stylus is like using your thumbs to thread a needle.

That is an iPad stylus at the top of picture and the other 3 I have showing range from cheap to silly in price but note that those three have a sharp plastic tip.

After calibrating, you usually don't need that much precision so the iPad stylus will work or a fingernail is great.

Thanks, Jim. Used a plastic pen tip every other time and it worked just fine - but as I said, doing it while mounted in the panel, my precision was probably not where it needed to be. I'll try again with a fine point. I'm sure it was user error.
