Thanks Shane, how do I get it to boot up right to Navigation mode?

Chuck,

I noticed you have an iFly 720. With this unit, just boot the unit up, then follow the below sequence.

Setup -> Tools (Icon) -> Start Menu -> then touch Navigation.

This will allow the unit to boot to navigation. If you use a SkyRadar or Use Wi-Fi updating, I would recommend not taking this approach. You would have to boot up, then exit into the set up to get to the Wi-Fi. If you experience any abnormal behaviors, try reverting back to booting to the Basic Menu.

Make sure you have the latest firmware. It should be fine unless you are using a SkyRadar, then that pause gives the SkyRadar time to boot before the iFly tries to connect.

I have Skyradar-L with the iFly 700. That combination seems to work no matter how I power them up. Maybe I am missing something. What are the symptoms that you have seen when they don't connect properly?

He's talking about the original Skyradar. Unfortunately, that model didn't have a unique identifier--it was just the "Skyradar"--so unless you always call it "the _original_ Skyradar", there can be some ambiguity.

That is correct. The SkyRadar is the original, and a few of these used a Static IP address. Then the SkyRadar L, S & D models came out, all with DHCP iP address handling. Sorry for any confusion on that.
