I am familiar hotel web re-directs however this hotel did not present the user with a re-direct page or policy or billing page. It was however, obvious that some kind of redirect or something was going on behind the covers. I suspect the iFly detected this and popped up the browser app but there was nothing to show. No buttons, nothing. Using the PC and accessing the internet there is hesitation while something is occuring before the internet comes up but no hotel portal page is displayed.

Thammer, that implies that our Internet Explorer is not able to display the redirect page. This is something we've seen here, but don't currently have a workaround to offer. We are continuing to investigate and if we find a way to improve IE - we'll certaily do it.

Thanks,
Walter

I'm not sure if you're talking about the SAME wifi connection issue I had (but is now resolved):

What I was running into was this:

As long as my 720 was used only for WiFi updating at my home wifi it was fine.

But once it had been used on more than one WiFi login (at my FBO) the problems began:

After that whether at home or FBO using wifi I could update TFRs and weather but anything big such as a sectional would result in starting to download, getting up to, say, 40%, then saying "retrying" and falling back to, say, 19% (or whatever), and never finishing. Had to do bigger updates via USB.

Ed sent me an update to the OPERATING SYSTEM which appears to have resolved that.

I suggest you call and if your syndrome is similar to mine investigate that option.

Hope that helps.

Alex

Walter, Ed and Staff,

I loaded the OS and the new SD card and everything works fabulously. Thank you so much for the support. The support from the staff at Adventure Pilot is second to none. I'm really glad I bought the 720.

Thanks again,

Jim Mantyla
