Yes, I've seen this and tried it out. From the ones I've tried, the problem was the iOS device couldn't send data to the SD Card, only reads from it. This may change in iOS 6 or there may soon be an App that resolves this. I've used various iPhones for over 4 years and this is still an issue. I know iPhones and iPads can send video and music through the 30-pin connector, but I've never seen the ability for an iOS device to send a zip file to the SD Reader or data port.
We are looking at the possibility of developing version of iFly Connect for Mac computers, however there is no confirmed date or timeline on this. With more and more Mac computers entering the market, it is something we woudl like to offer for our customers. We will continue to look for more options and possibilities.
