FWIW - I'm using a 700 not a 720.
Works like a champ. I found that there is a white / black wire on the D10EMS that is for the connection of a gps and I used a female DB9 soldered on pin 3 to that wire and ran a ground wire from pin 5 to the ground buss. Then the EMS and EFIS talk on there own network.
